networking can be broken down into two works, "net" and "working". in this section of the project, the lattice could be thought of as a "working net" , a net working to accomodate an architectural intervention.
"net" can be replaced with words such as barrier, MESH, something that entraps, "a meshed network", a cover, a protection, or to surround. The lattice structure already present in the site model will work as a net to catch and form to the new intervention. the intervention will be foreign, and the lattice will respond accordingly. the new object should send a ripple effect through the lattice and have an influence on spatial organizations and structures, all responding to the new intervention.
